  Penguins. Thousands of them. 1 hour. Never imagined them living in holes. Sea lions. 20 minutes. You can see them pretty close. 2.5 hours total on a boat (warm, comfy enough). 30 minutes on a bus. Nice guides. Captain with his pirate-Latin entertainment (nice set of percussion devices). Very cold and windy - that’s what being so close to Antarctica means. Pretty expensive, but not more so than other tours. I read about cancellation issues. Worked fine in our case. But I can imagine it can happen. Weather changes all the time .   Meh. Penguins are interesting but the trip is too expensive for what it is. Most of the time is on the boat and not enough time on the island. I'd recommend checking out one of the colonies on land. These are smaller but a much better value.

  Just loved it. It's is more expensive than the ferry, but jeez, so worth it ! First of all it's not an enormous boat, so the magdalena island is not gonna be crowded. Also the staff is so nice ! They'll offer you tea and cookies when you come back from the island, and god, be ready for the dancing session 😂😂😂 They'll show you sea lions, which is something that not a lot of those company will do. You should book your trip in advance if you don't want to be disappointed and miss this opportunity. Definitely worth it !

Posso dizer que eles são profissionais: cumprem os horários, são organizados, atenciosos e gentis, incluindo o pessoal da agência, os motoristas e os guias. Nos passeios, os guias falam espanhol e inglês, mas se esforçam para que todos do grupo entendam o que está sendo dito.

  Magdalena Island tour was fantastic, crew on board did a great job including the Captain who was very funny. Also liked that we could book without having to pay / give a deposit in advance. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the office staff are not great at responding to emails with questions; I asked twice if they could drop off us at the airport on the way back from the tour, no answer. On the day of the tour they agreed to do it for 2000 pesos each, which seemed a little greedy to me given they drive right by the airport and we are already paying 63000 pesos per person for the tour, but I paid it to the driver anyway was still cheaper than taking a taxi from town and saved us time. But like I said the tour itself was great, highly recommended.
